It simply states you need vista, 2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, 7GBs of harddrive space and a video card better than the X700 or the 6100. I noticed something a little strange, that requirements posted on the back are very to-the-point. I went to the store and I purchased Halo 2. I'll post back with the results and some screenshots for sure! I'm really excited!! lol Anyway.I have to go to the mall today anyway to get some things for people in band (different topic, lol) so I'll probably pick it up with the money I got for my birthday on Thursday.

There should be a free one like in the first Halo where you can play it with just other PC players, which would make more sense.Īnyway, I managed to get Vista installed and working good, and as expected, there were some hardware driver issues so I don't have access to my SCSI 10k RPM harddrive because vista doesn't support the SCSI card I have.how ghey. I think the LIVE subscription fees will only be for playing with people on Xbox.

I think that's what you need to pay for this way its fair for the people playing Xbox who have to pay for it anyway. The BEST thing, i think, is the fact that you can play halo 2 PC with people on Xbox live. It's the same thing with halo 3 coming out, multiplayer is one of the biggest things they're working on because they know how intense it is when people play multiplayer and since almost all the people who will buy halo 3, will buy it for the multiplayer (which also be enhanced by the Xbox 360s online, wireless, etc pwnage). Even if they didn't know the story, a good amount of people don't care for it. Especially someone who's played the game on Xbox and/or already knows how the story goes, chances are they won't even play the single player and go straight to the multiplayer. Now, maybe they'll be able to do it, but at least till it's proven, I'm not so sure about it.Įdited by Wizdabest, 23 June 2007 - 08:06 PM. Here we go, the company is called Falling Leaf Systems and they're doing it through Amazon.

To make it more shady, they want you to buy the game with their software based on what they say and you're pretty much giving them the money based on their word and if it doesn't end up working, you're left with a useless game unless you can pawn it off or get Vista. However, the problem with that is that they are just saying it will work and there isn't any proof behind what they are saying.

Yea, apparently a company (don't remember the name) is claiming that they are developing software that would allow Halo 2 to run on XP (single player at least). Also if you check the specs on a game that will run both, you need better specs to run it under Vista. I believe there is a patch/crack/hack or something that will allow you to play it on XP, but its untested by me so i cant really comment.įrom some game forums I visit, when a game is able to run under XP and Vista, the XP version allways seems to run with a higher frame rate, with a very slight graphical difference.
